Welcome to the 2018 MEC Ottawa Gatineau Park Marathon, Half Marathon and 5km race. - MEC Ottawa presents THE 2018 must do, bucket list, tell your friends about it for months afterwards, road race in the Ottawa/Gatineau region. Choose between a full 42.2km Marathon ($25), a 21.1km Half Marathon ($20) or 5km ($15). - All courses are certified for accurate distance by Athletics Canada, sanctioned by Athletics Quebec. The Marathon is a Boston Qualification course. All races are timed by Sportstats. -

We'll start off with introductions and an icebreaker and then head out for a 2-3 mile hike on level terrain. The hike goes along the St Croix River and loops back with views of Lake Alice. There is a nice place along the hike where we'll stop and find a spot to sit and meditate for about 5-10 minutes. After the hike we'll have lunch (bring your own) at either a picnic shelter (depending on availability/preferences) or the beach. You may want to bring a blanket or something to sit on. - -
