Silent Weekend Retreat 2016 - Aug 19 2016

Imagine, real peace. Take a break for yourself and give yourself the space and time for personal attention and reflection. Dive deep and experience peace, calmness, and total relaxation. Cultivate spiritual and physical health by learning to concentrate the mind, strengthen willpower and deepen awareness of consumption in a structured, supportive environment. Daily meditation and extended silence with the support of experienced teachers in a tranquil environment will bring you all this and more. Each day has a schedule with sitting and walking meditations, yoga, a talk, and daily activities that are led by Paul Fowler, Director, Blue Lotus Thai Massage and Daren Friesen, Director of Moksha Yoga Center and Stonehouse Farm. No previous meditation experience required, but you are required to participate in silence.

Solidarity on Solstice 2020 - Jun 19 2020

Solidarity is a human family event celebrating the diversity of life on Earth. We are calling all humans to begin looking at creating healthy ways to discuss who is family, what is family, how do we nurture each other, and how do we become allies for each other. It is so important, now more than ever, that we learn how to live peacefully and lovingly with each other and nature. - This weekend will be the coalescence of Juneteenth, Solstice, an Eclipse, Pride day and Father's day. We see how each of these events are connected and woven together, and want to share this celebration with everyone. So come spend the weekend at Camp Singing Wind, now is the time to redefine how to be human. - There will be opportunities for learning, sharing, building community, physical expression of emotions, and creating balance. The event is designed around the concepts of Healing, Sustaining, Wilding, and Creating. Living in balance is a multifaceted experience! Take time to introduce your family to new skills, take time to rejuvenate spirit and body, take time for yourself, and take time to support the strong and resilient humans around you who work for a better world. While you are at it, take some time in the woods. -
